Learning outcomes
After completing this NOOC you should be able to:

This capability refers to the ability to recognise, understand, and analyse cultural differences among individuals or groups in various social, educational, and professional contexts. It involves awareness of how cultural backgrounds influence behaviours, values, communication styles, and perspectives.
This NOOC consists of the five topics and aims to develop the following skills.

- Analyse how cultural norms and worldviews shape individuals’ perspectives and interactions.
- Recognise personal and societal biases, stereotypes, prejudices and cultural assumptions to foster inclusivity.
- Identify and interpreting verbal, non-verbal, and contextual cues (e.g., body language, etiquette, traditions) to identify cultural differences.
- Explain how historical, social, and environmental factors shape cultural behaviours and perspectives.
You will be invited to watch short interactive video for each skill, which includes self-test questions with explanations of the correct answers to help you check your knowledge. Self-reflection questions accompany each skill to support the evaluation of learning outcomes. References used in the development of all materials are included.
